This was one of the first ride-on cars we purchased- and the best! I would like to take credit and say I did so much research on this vehicle and chose a winner, but that would be a lie. Actually, my wife bought it for my son, and she has picked the winner!

Let’s dive right into the review.

Razor’s 24V Kids Ride On Quad Review

This vehicle is perfect for an older child, more in the area of 7 to 12 years old. You can see the full review above in the video, and also my son whips around the yard at 8 miles per hour with a smile on his face.

This vehicle is for kids 7 years old to 12 years old.

Best Off-road
Razor Dirt Quad – 24V Electric 4-Wheeler Ride-On for Kids 8+, T wist-Grip Variable-Speed Acceleration Control, Up to 8 MPH, Forward/Reverse Drive Mode

The Razor Dirt Quad is a fantastic way to introduce preteens to riding a quad bike. It has a maximum speed of 8MPH, which is ideal for older kids who love speed.

You need to check local authorities’ stand about areas where your child can use a quad bike. Also, you need to buy your child protective gear like a helmet, gloves, wind-resistant jacket, and knee pads.

Teach your child how to use the dirt quad before letting them use it for races.

The quad comes with an all-weather-resistant body, which is both attractive and durable. You can adjust the handlebar to the height of your child as they grow older.

The 13″ pneumatic knobby tires are air-filled to give your child a smooth ride on various terrains. Also, a child will have a significant amount of traction for a child when using the toy off-road.

The manual controls will teach kids to use their hands when navigating a four-wheel vehicle. It is a useful training experience as a child starts developing usable driving skills.

There is a braking system that will prevent your child from getting into dangerous situations.

Kids can use the vertical space to store the essentials that they need when they are playing outdoors. The American brand uses the best quality materials when manufacturing the Razor Dirt Quad.

Verdict: If you are looking to get a ride-on car with the best off-road features, this is a great choice. It has an attractive design and offers several features that will satisfy your child’s outdoor play requirements.

Key Features:

  • Speed: 8MPH
  • Running Time: 40 Minutes
  • Colors Available: Black, Camo, Pink
  • Maximum Weight Limit: 120 LBS
  • Age: 8+ years

24V Razor’s Run Time

The runtime of this vehicle reports 40 minutes, and I can say it is at least that or longer. My son will get a few rides out of it before needing to charge it again.

We never had it slow down or die out, and he has driven it a good amount of time. After over 4 years, I have not noticed a degradation in the battery.

Safety Measures in Razor’s Quad Ride-On

Before you let your little ones loose on their new adventure, it’s vital to understand the safety measures in place with Razor’s Quad Ride-On and how they contribute to a secure and worry-free riding experience.

  1. Parental Control Options: Razor understands the importance of parental control options in ride-on toys. You can limit the speed by pressing a switch on the vehicle.
  2. Non-slip Rubber Tires: These tires provide excellent traction, reducing the risk of accidents.
  3. Disc Brakes: These brakes ensure the ride-on quad stops quickly to avoid accidents.

With Razor’s Quad Ride-On, you can rest easy knowing your child’s safety is prioritized. Let them explore freely and with confidence!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • 8 MPH Speed!
  • Disc breaks to stop quickly
  • Feels like a real ATV
  • Can be driven by the handlebars.
Cons
  • Driving in the same pattern in a yard can cause grass damage.

Overall, I was very impressed by the performance, and seeing this quad rip around the yard is just awesome. My son also really loved the ride-on, Mom and Dad were both the hero!

My son is getting older and is now outgrowing the vehicle, but we have a younger son who can’t wait till he is old enough to get his turn. He grew up chugging along on a John Deer idealizing his older brother cruising along.

For Kids 14 Years+ Ride-on Quad Alternative

If you like everything you are reading and your child is 14 years old, this would be their version of that quad.

4 Wheel Drive Dirt Quad 500
Razor Dirt Quad 36V 4-Wheeler

If you think the 24V Razor Dirt Quad was good, this one is amazing and for kids that are 14 years and older. Max weight of 220 LBS and comes with a 36V battery!

This comes with a 500W motor and a run time of 68 minutes, hitting up to 9 miles per hour!

It has all the features of the other quad but is built even stronger to be able to hold more weight. This is a step before an ATV, but safer.

The tires are soft rubber, and the springs will keep the ride nice and smooth. We do still recommend a helmet at this level, but ultimately the decision is yours.

Conclusion

When you are done with the slower ride-on cars and ready to take them to the next level, these are the ones that would work for you, as they have worked for me.

Ours is still going strong. I hope you have the same happiness and longevity that our family has had with ours.
